Key Characteristics of Amazonian Magic Mushrooms:
1. Physical Appearance
Cap:
Typically large and convex (rounded), often flattening with age.
Golden to caramel-brown color when fresh, fading as they dry.
May show bluish bruising due to psilocin oxidation.
Gills:
Close and dark purple-brown in mature mushrooms (spore color).
Stem (Stipe):
Tall, thick, and white with a tendency to bruise blue.
Often slightly curved or twisted.
2. Psychoactive Properties
Psilocybin/Psilocin Content:
Considered potent, though slightly variable depending on growing conditions.
Effects include visual distortions, enhanced colors, time dilation, euphoria, introspection, and spiritual experiences.
